The evolution of negative pressure wound therapy

<p>Many clinicians utilise Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) to manage difficult wounds regularly in different healthcare settings. Since the therapy was commercialised more than 20 years ago, numerous patients have benefitted from NPWT and abundant evidence has been published to portray great results achieved. However, NPWT has evolved over these past couple of decades to provide clinicians with options to manage a wide variety of wounds including infected wounds, surgical site incisions and open abdomens. </p>
